Sally Mumford is a visual artist, based in Mparntwe (Alice Springs), predominately working in print making and drawing. Her practice holds a strong connection to country/land/place. As well as quiet observation through drawing, her art making actively engages with elements within the landscape. It is often a physical exploration of the elemental forces felt and how through repetitive, mediative and explorative print making processes, accidental and unsuspecting creative possibilities open.
Sally is presently a lecturer at Charles Darwin University, Academy of the Arts, in Alice Springs and facilitates print workshops with local Central Australian First Nations artists."
