"Originally from Yorkshire, Dominique Coiffait studied textile design at Glasgow School of Art and then went on to complete an Masters at the Royal College of Art, London.
He worked as a designer in the fast paced fashion textile industry for almost 25 years; design director of his own London based textile design studio for sixteen years, producing literally thousands of textile patterns for an international clientele. His career took him around the world exhibiting at trade fairs, visiting clients, working to their briefs.
Seeking a more satisfying work life balance, he stepped aside from textiles and embarked on a more rewarding journey which led him to consider a wide range of arts practices and to discover printmaking. Within a short space of time he went from a four week beginners linoprint class to director of a busy screen printing studio."
