Artist Bio Emily Parker is an arts worker and early-career artist who researches and creates in Meanjin/ Brisbane. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Art and Bachelor of Business from the Queensland College of Art and Design, Griffith University and in 2024 completed her Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours) in Printmaking at QCAD, where she was also the recipient of the Iain Turnbull Award for printmaking. Her practice explores the interplay between organic and inorganic materials, reflecting human and non-human entanglements across geological time with works held in the State Library of Queensland and Griffith University Art Museum collection. Emily is also the founder and director of PARKER Contemporary, a fresh addition to Brisbane's cultural precinct, featuring established and emerging artists expanding the understanding and appreciation of works on and of paper within contemporary art.
