Brett Nannup is a Noongar man with cultural ties to the Binjareb and Wilman peoples of the Southwest of Western Australia. He currently lives and works on Noongar boodja (country). A printmaker and multidisciplinary artist, Brett was trained by his mother, esteemed Western Australian artist Laurel Nannup. He has further developed his practice with master printmaker Michael Kempson at Cicada Press in Sydney and, more recently, at Thames Side Print Studios in London. Brett has received numerous awards, including the City of Armadale Minnawarra Aboriginal Art Award, City of Bayswater Whadjuk Art Award (2024), City of Melville Aboriginal Art Award (2023), Noongar Country BHP Billiton Alumina Acquisitive Art Award (2012), Katanning Art Award (2007), and the Printmakers Association of Western Australia Award (2007)."
