Sarah Abbott is an Australian artist whose creative journey spans fine art, interior design, and a full-circle return to painting. Initially pursuing a Fine Art degree in 2002, she left disheartened by its lack of practical instruction, eventually building a 15-year career in high-end cabinetry design across Australia and London. Specialising in bespoke interiors, she developed a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, detail, and materiality. After years of creative dissatisfaction and reflection, Sarah returned to painting — rediscovering a passion left dormant for over a decade. Her work now draws on both design precision and emotional exploration, capturing themes of memory, transition, and self-renewal. Each piece reflects a reconciliation between technical skill and the freedom of artistic expression.
